Do I need boxing experience to join a retreat? +
Limited prior training experience is required to get the most out of the week. If you train boxing a couple of times a week at a local gym, you will fit right in. Luke adapts every session to the group.
What is included in the $2,999 AUD retreat price? +
Airport transfers, 7 nights in a private hotel room, all training sessions led personally by Luke, a welcome pack (wraps, rope, electrolytes, towel, glove sanitiser, retreat t-shirt and more), breakfast daily, team dinners daily, a mid-week massage and recovery at AMO Spa, an ATV day in Ubud, and the farewell party at Finn's Beach Club with food and drinks included.
What is not included? +
Airfares, travel insurance, and visas to Indonesia. Bring training gear, comfortable clothes for Bali's heat, sunscreen, and your boxing gloves (or we can provide them).
When are the 2026 retreat dates? +
July 19–26 and November 1–8 are confirmed. November 8–15 is under consideration. Spots are capped at 16 per retreat, so dates fill early.
Can I attend the retreat alone? +
Most guests attend solo. The retreat is built around community — you arrive as a stranger and leave with friends from across the group. 130+ guests from 20+ countries have attended across 10+ retreats so far.
How fit do I need to be? +
A basic level of fitness is recommended. You do not need to be an athlete. Luke adapts every session to the group and to individual levels.
Is sparring part of the retreat? +
No sparring. The week is technique, padwork, and conditioning for boxing. You do not need a mouth guard.
What does a typical day look like? +
A morning training session, breakfast, free time during the day, an afternoon training session or group activity, then team dinner in the evening. Wednesday has a mid-week recovery at AMO Spa, Friday has the ATV day in Ubud, and Saturday finishes at Finn's Beach Club.
Where exactly is the retreat? +
Training is at Soma Fight Club in Canggu, Bali. The hotel is around 2km from the beach. Getting around is by scooter or short car ride — Bali traffic makes driving the norm.
Is Bali safe for solo travellers? +
Bali is one of the most established solo-travel destinations in Asia and very safe. Luke and the team help with arrival logistics (airport transfer is included), and you will be with the retreat group from day one.
